MEMBERSHIP CRITERIA AND COSTS
The definitions of the categories of membership are as follows:
Professional Membership
Open to those engaged as writers, journalists, or any allied occupation who spend the whole or a substantial part of their working time in writing, recording, or editing material on food or nutrition for publication or dissemination. Only professional members have voting rights and are eligible to enter the Culinary Quills food writing awards.
Professional Membership Subscription $100 + $30 joining fee + GST
= $146.25
Associate Membership
Open to those who, in the opinion of the Executive Committee, have a sincere interest in furthering New Zealand's health, nutrition or food knowledge through all media of communication.
Associate Membership Subscription $70 + $30 joining fee + GST= $112.50
Student Membership
Open to tertiary students of journalism or food-related subjects
Student Membership Subscription $65 + GST= $73.13 (no joining fee)
Corporate Membership
Open to companies and corporate bodies with an interest in furthering food writing and its associated forms. Membership provides access to food writers throughout New Zealand, the opportunity to introduce new products and ideas, and to meet members at various functions organised by the Executive or sponsors.
Corporate Membership Subscription $220 plus GST = $247.50 per annum
